Reading Assignment

Assignment 1C

I enjoyed the readings, I already do some filming on my own and some of the information was already familiar, but the Blocking section stood out the most to me. A lot of the shots I make already are generally the same, one perspective some zooming  but for this semester i want to get involved in different locations and experiment more with compositions.

Oral Presentation

Assignment 1 A

Making presentations has always been a challenge for me, but I've rehearsed this speech enough so that I can stand up and sit down. I found out about this neat little trick to eye contact a little while back, just look at the middle of people's foreheads instead, seems simple enough right? Well, for this assignment I've given myself bullet points and have made this into a routine and changed the scenario. No longer am I standing in before my classmates, I am auditioning for a serious role in a film, now that should cure the nervousness?

 This assignment has also pushed me to connect more with the reason why I want to create and the concept behind the creation. I have also come to make a lot of discoveries about myself in doing so, and I feel like I'm making sense, basically because I've been really pushing myself to answer these questions truthfully and to really search myself for clarity.
